Object Boot Camp for Pre-Final Year Students

Over the years, we have experienced that students in colleges have very few opportunities to understand the industry practises in basic programming and software development. The Object BootCamp training is intended to provide an opportunity for students to interact and understand the industry perspective to software development.

What is the purpose of this training ?

ThoughtWorks is one of the pioneers of the Agile methodology of developing software. The industry looks up to us, for our ability to deliver world-class software applications, using cutting-edge technologies and our agile practises. ThoughtWorks today works with other organisations around the world, helping them implement best practises around object oriented programming and Agile practises like pairing, test-driven development etc.. Sharing our knowledge and experience is key to ThoughtWorks as an organisation.

What do you do at the "Boot Camp" ?

This is a lab-based object-oriented programming workshop where all exercises are conducted using pair-programming and test-driven development. Students are introduced to Agile engineering practices while learning a new programming paradigm.

Who have participated so far ?

Select pre-final year students from RVCE and PESIT from Bangalore, PICT, VIT, Cummins from Pune and TSEC, Mumbai have participated in this week long session.
