Technical foundations of Distributed Agile - What IT leaders need to know

Distributing Agile projects isn't easy. Agile values encourage face-to-face communication and frequent feedback between team members. But for those who seek the benefits of Agile - frequent releases, less waste, high emphasis on value - on larger, more complex projects, this webinar will present some technical practices that help retain the spirit of co-location in a distributed environment.

Although distributed Agile is challenging, with the right practices it is not only possible, but can be highly productive. People, processes, and technology have a role to play in delivering these projects successfully.

In this webinar, we will focus on:

  • Technical practices we've employed to bring distributed teams closer together and enable efficient work sharing across locations.
  • Architecture for distributed Agile projects, source code and configuration management.
  • Appropriate use of automation in build, test and deployment.
  • Communication considerations and technical leadership for distributed teams.

This webinar is designed to help architects and managers of distributed Agile teams lay the right technical foundations for successful delivery of their projects. We'll present examples of projects that evolved from small teams to large distributed efforts without sacrificing the quality and responsiveness associated with Agile projects.
