Agenda

Session 1 : Web Service Testing using Java and Axis : 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

This session will focus on Web Services and how to test them programmatically. This talk also covers different ways of Web Service testing, different types of testing such as concurrent testing, functional testing, etc. Participants will work on a simple application and write sample Web Service tests using Maven as a build tool.

Speaker:

Arun Jayabalan works as a Test Architect at ThoughtWorks. Over the past years he has been involved in defining test strategy, test framework design for Java, .Net and Ruby On Rails projects.

Session 2 : Automation in an Agile environment: 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This session will briefly discuss the various challenges of implementing functional automation in an Agile environment and its importance. It will also discuss some tips that can be used while developing the automation framework in order to avoid these hurdles.

Speaker:

Ramesh Baskarasubramanian works as a Quality Analyst at ThoughtWorks and is passionate about testing and Open Source testing tools. His main area of expertise is Test Automation Framework Design and Development using Keyword and Hybrid designs.

Session 3 : Hybrid Automation Framework (Ruby + Selenium + WatiR): 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This session will focus on designing Hybrid Automation framework on Ruby on Rails using Selenium and WatiR. This talk also covers the challenges and risks involved in the hybrid framework.

Navaneetha Krishnan works as a Quality Analyst at ThoughtWorks. Over the past 3 years he has been involved in testing and automation across different domains.
