Agile Seminar at MSME
Bala and Santhana Krishnan (from ThoughtWorks Chennai) spoke at a seminar on Agile methodologies on Friday, March 20, 2009, organized by the Ministry of MSME (Micro, small and medium enterprises), Govt. of India. The seminar was well attended and the presentations were received quite well. The audience was a mix of people from small and large organizations.

The 'Adapting to Changing Requirements' presentation focused on the idea of adaptive planning with emphasis on frequent releases, short iterations and constant customer collaboration. The 'Agile Metrics' presentation was to introduce the need and properties of good metrics. A lot of real time examples were used to explain some of the key metrics.
There was an open session at the end of the seminar. There were discussions around practices like TDD, Pair programming and Continuous Integration. Other general topics like Scrum certifications, benefits of Agile for business, etc were discussed. The presentations are available here.
