1. Retirals - Provident Fund and Gratuity
The company will make an additional minimum deposit of 12% of the basic salary over and above the gross salary. Gratuity is payable to an employee on separation/retirement even if you have spent just 2 years of service with the company.
2. Insurance - Medical and Life
All employees and their dependants are covered under an In-Patient Mediclaim Health Insurance policy with a cumulative sum assured. All employees are covered under a Life Insurance policy. Along with Life Insurance, there is rider coverage for Accidental Death, Critical Illness, Partial Permanent Disability and Total Permanent Disability. While for most organizations the dependents do not include parents, ThoughtWorks employees can include a maximum of upto 5 dependents (Employee, Spouse, Kids and Parents).
3. Assistance with Rental Accommodation
The company will assist the employee in paying a Housing Security Deposit - or the employee can opt for Company Leased Accommodation as per our policies.
4. Health and Wellness
The company encourages its employees to engage in hobbies and activities outside the office e.g. pursuing interests in fine arts, sports etc and will reimburse a fixed amount per annum towards expenses incurred to pursue these hobbies. Nutritious lunch is provided to all employees in the office every week day. Our 24x7 pantry service is stocked with snacks, fruit juices, soft drinks and tea/coffee machines.
5. Mobile Phone and Home Internet Reimbursement
The company will provide each employee with a mobile phone and a connection. The company shall provide a broadband internet connection at home as per the prevailing policy.
6. Paid Time-Off
Each employee is entitled to 20 days of paid time-off on pro-rata basis and 8 holidays (public/national and floating) per year. On completing three years at ThoughtWorks India, the paid time-off entitlement increases to 25 days per year, on a pro-rata basis. Need-based sick leave is available for medical reasons. The company also provides rejuvenation leave, which is a four-week paid time-off, after four years at ThoughtWorks.
